Parent Circle hopes everyone had a fabulous first week of school! We are super excited that volunteers will be back in the school building this year. Spending time in the building is the best way to observe the positive energy among our staff and students and truly understand the magic of Public Waldorf education. In preparation for welcoming volunteers back into the school, we wanted to share some information.
All volunteers must complete a background check. The results of these checks are kept confidential by the Administration and are not viewable by anyone on Parent Circle. Information on obtaining your background check and volunteer expectations are available in the welcome letter here. If the cost of the background check is a financial burden for your family, please contact Ms. Dawson for assistance.
Parent Circle includes at least one Room Parent per class. These amazing volunteers work closely with their classroom teacher to plan special events, organize classroom volunteer needs, share information from the Parent Circle and more. If this sounds like a good fit for you, please fill out the Google Form here to indicate your interest.
We are working to make supporting ROCS easier than ever. We will be rolling out new software that allows families to view volunteer opportunities, sign up to help, and track hours volunteered all in one place. Keep an eye out for more news on that soon. Also, we have set up a Patreon account that makes monthly financial support simple and automatic. See the attached flyer for more details!
Our first Parent Circle monthly meeting will be Tuesday, September 13th at 6:30pm in the Multipurpose Room at ROCS. We welcome all staff, parents, guardians and other family members and children are always welcome to tag along. Because we know this is a tough time for many families to leave the house, we will also make our most valiant attempt at streaming the meeting via our usual Google Meet link.
