Happy July, ROCStars! On behalf of Parent Circle, I’d like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new families and a huge welcome back those that are returning. It is my hope that you all have a successful school year that is filled to the brim with learning, love, and FUN! ROCS is a special place and we are thrilled you are here!
Our school was community-initiated and continues to be community-powered. To that end, we ask for each family to volunteer time, talent, and/or muscle to help us reach our goals. We were fortunate to find an arborist to donate mulch for our playground and garden area, but we need help to spread it. You can work on your schedule, as long as it’s done by July 12th (just in time for our ROC Your Summer picnic). Parent Circle also has a fund (donate via our PayPal or Venmo @ROCSPC) to help staff offset moving-related classroom setup costs. It will help us reimburse staff that incur expenses (such as painting supplies and other hardware) outfitting their new classrooms.
If you’d like to support us throughout the year with a monthly donation, we have a Patreon account! Having predictable monthly income allows us to plan our year and reduces the burden of fundraising. At ROCS, every parent/guardian/grown up of a ROCS student is a member of our Parent Circle. There is no fee to join, but if you are able to support us financially or through volunteering, we are most grateful. Our community is strongest when we all pitch in!
