May Day Greetings, ROCStars!
I hope you’re as excited as I am about May Day festivities! It’s going to be a warm one, so remember hats, sunscreen and water to keep cool. We have a LOT going on this month. Please read below for all of the details about all of the things!
Lost and Found: Please check the Lost and Found for any missing items while you’re at school for May Day! It is located outside the EC/Lemurs classroom. Items left in the Lost and Found will be donated at the end of May due to lack of storage space at school. If you can’t join us for May Day, be sure to carve out some time between now and the end of the month to search for any missing items.
Our Student Snack/Lunch Pantry is running low. Please consider picking up an extra package of snacks (such as Veggie Straws or Goldfish) or some microwavable mac and cheese on your next grocery trip. These items can be dropped off with Ms. Cooper.
Yard Sale: Our 2nd Annual ROCS Community Yard Sale is happening this Saturday, May 4th at ROCS! The sale will run from 8:00am-12:00pm. Proceeds from space rentals and donations benefit Parent Circle, but vendors keep their earnings. A flyer is attached below so you can spread the word!
EOG Volunteers Needed: We need some volunteers to help ensure the building is quiet and peaceful for our students taking EOG tests. Details and signup are available here.
Bowling Spirit Weekend: Come out and bowl the weekend of May 10-11 at Buffaloe Lanes right around the corner from school. ROCS gets half of what you pay to bowl! You must present the flyer (included below) at time of purchase. Flyers will also be sent home with students and will be available at May Day and the Yard Sale!
Finally, thank you so much for everyone that participated in Staff Appreciation Week and volunteered for the Book Fair. Both were great successes and wouldn’t have been possible without your support.
Enjoy May Day – one of the most special days of the ROCS year!
