This year’s school supply lists have been updated, and can be found here. Thank you for your patience as we clarified this information. If securing some of these supplies will be a financial strain, please notify your child’s teacher. 

We’re excited to be approaching the beginning of the school year, so I wanted to highlight some beginning-of-the-year activities:

Grade level meet-ups:

• • Kindergarten: August 7, 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Location: ROCS playground
  • 1st Grade: August 11, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM. Location: Pullen Park
  • 2nd Grade: August 10, 10:30 AM. Location: Millbrook Exchange Park
  • 3rd Grade: August 9, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Location: ROCS Front Lot
  • 4th Grade: August 8, 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Location: Walnut Creek Wetlands Center
  • 5th Grade: August 7, 6:00 PM. Location: Durant Nature Preserve
  • 6th Grade: August 10, 2:00 PM. Location: Shelley Lake Park
  • 7th/8th Grade: August 8, 4:30 PM (new student meet/orientation) and 5:00-6:30 PM (social);. Location: ROCS playground

1st-8th Grade Open House: August 22, 5:30-7:30

1st-8th First Day of School: August 27

K staggered entry: Kindergarten students will come in for one assigned day August 27th, 28th, or 29th. We will have a K Open House on 8/30, where you will meet your child’s teacher. The first day of school for K will be Tuesday 9/3, following the long weekend.

Teacher Assignments: Students are still enrolling and teacher hires are being finalized, so class lists are still under development. However, you will be notified of your teachers and classmates next week!
